I based this on it requirement for more food to support its bulk and also that, being the largest might have been the result of it being the greediest. I love fis...I much prefer a dropping river George . I love fishing cheese paste on my local Blythe and warks Avon as it drops . I have caught a lot of chub in the coloured water as opposed to clear. My personal opinion is that the fish feel safer in coloured water. I believe it acts as a smoke screen to the predators that frequent the areas I fish . Incidentally I bumped in to a friend of yours this week on a stretch of the Avon .
